Velo Mec is run by David Eckersley, a EAL Level 3/ Campagnolo Pro-shop/ EPSI/ EPSII/ G3 accredited  Mechanic and a Cyclefit Accredited bike fitter.  David has been a cyclist all his life and has over 40 years experience riding and racing all types of bikes all over the world.  From the Canadian Rockies to the Green Mountain in Oman. From the  Hot Chillee London-Paris to the Abu Dhabi Triathlon.  From the cold of the Arctic Circle in Sweden to the heat of the Western Australian outback.  Add to that 15 years commuting across London and you can see he knows what riders want and expect from their bike.  David is a British Cycling Gold Member.

 

So whether  it's flying down  the Tourmalet at 90kph, shooting singletrack in Wales or  just dodging the buses in Oxford Street on your way to work  you need know your bike won't let you down!. 

 

Customer satisfaction is very important to us so if your bike doesn't need the full service we won't try and sell you one. Simarly if  we don't think you will gain from a cycle fit we won't recommend one- although it should be said most riders, whatever their level or years of riding experience, will see at the very least 'marginal gains' in performance and comfort from a professional bike fit. 

 

Every bike is treated with great care and attention- as if it was the mechanic's own. We want to get to know you and your bike so that you  come to regard us as your 'personal'  fitter and mechanic.
